Hi - I attended Del Norte the first year it opened and was there for 10th and 11th grades.  I graduated in 1967 in California.  My husband wanted to retire in the land of enchantment.  I came back to what I missed the most during my childhood, the clear bright blue sky, the clean fresh air, the multi cultures where people know what it means when I say family values matter.  I missed the place I called home but was fortunate to visit New Mexico often.  Now that I'm back I think of how rapidly Albuquerque grew in the 1950's and 1960's.  It seemed I was always attending a new school living in the NE part of the city. The places of my youth have changed but I'm blessed to be part of many updated places and areas that are familiar to me.  I'm looking forward to getting involved in the alumni activities and seeing some old faces.  Thanks.  Sincerely, gpmv

Jackson MS Retired/former Medical Librarian 1967 No No, I transferred in, one year only. Not dying in VietNam & having a wildly successful career. That's like asking if a bear does his business in the woods! I always upset people with unconventional ideas to solve problems.
I did not know anyone at Del Norte High School when I started 12th grade there.  My family and I had just moved to Albuquerque.  The high school was very nice, clean, up to date, and included some very kind teachers who understood my situation being from a divorced home. Albuquerque NM Retired Wholesale Power Marketing 1967 Yes - 6 Both of them Building a close and loving family, having a fun and rewarding career, maintaining long term friendships, & living today well. I am doing what I want to do on a daily basis. If I want to ride my bike all day, I do it. If I want to go to Spain, I do it. Does that make me eccentric or just spoiled?
I will see you at the reception. Send Richard a MessageSend Richard a Message

West Linn OR Physician 1967 4 yes I managed to fight my way to full professor in a very patriarchal institution, with very few women faculty of that rank.
I haven't had the time to attend previous reunions, but my twin brother (Rich) has been bugging me to come next time. I do remember high school much more fondly than undergraduate school or medical school, so I am going to try to make the next reunion. Everybody hang on until then! Farmington NM Retired truck driver 1967 3 step grandchildren. Yes, Bob Chinisci. I have been lucky in that I have gotten to live in a number of cool places and see so much of the World and the US. Not eccentric, just disorganized.
Last December, I married our classmate, Diana Allen. We reconected after 42 years. It is fantastic. I am retired from the trucking industry and am loving being at home. I enjoy photography and riding motorcycles. Diana just retired from teaching in the Farmington Public Schools. We are looking forward to doing some traveling. Albuquerque NM retired 1967 5 yes My current marriage-wonderful husband (5 children, 5 grandchildren)and family. Almost all living in Albuquerque. HMMMMM-Webster says that means a "bizarre" person! Other definition says departing from tradition or norm. I am probably considered pretty normal-college, marriage, divorce, college again, career, marriage and now retirement and grandkids!!! I am God blessed with the good life He has given me.
